Young victims of crime is Young Voice's major new campaign that calls for young people to be counted and recognised as victims of crime. We are making young victims one of our priorities because our work shows how discounted and ignored they are. Our campaign aims to challenge the negative stereotypes of young people often seen in the media as perpetrator and offender first and foremost.
Young Voice and Victim Support have now formed a partnership to drive the campaign forward. Victim Support is the independent national charity for people affected by crime. Staff and volunteers offer free and confidential information and support for victims of any crime, whether or not it has been reported and regardless of when it happened. The organisation operates via a network of affiliated charities, the Witness Service and the Victim Supportline (0845 30 30 900).
Our campaign statement forms the basis of our partnership. By signing up to the campaign you can add your voice to the call for recognition of young victims of crime.

Equal Protection from assualt is every child's human right
Young Voice supports the Children Are Unbeatable! Alliance which campaigns for the UK to satisfy human rights obligations by modernising the law on assault to afford children the same protection as adults. We believe that hitting children is as unacceptable as hitting anyone else and should be equally unlawful. The Alliance is the broadest campaign coalition ever assembled on a children's issue, bringing together more than 400 organisations and many more individuals.
